It is with great pleasure present the World Premiere Radio Broadcast of Mikhail's Magnum Opus Tell! Jonkonnu, Tell! that took place at the Wigmore Hall in London Feb 5.

Available until March 22, 2025 BBC Radio 3 host Tom Service called this piece "A 40 minute jaw-dropping, ear-opening panoply of sound and feeling and character... A joyful and confronting cavalcade."

The piece commences at the 38:40 mark but for the new music aficionados the entire program was a real feast. Mikhail presents the untold stories of the Belly Woman, Horse Head, House, Warrior and Sailor Man just to name a few. A true labour of love he hopes you enjoy.

Hearing the Jamaican language and hearing the sounds of Jamaica on the very stage that has seen and presented the world's greatest composers (Prokofiev, Poulenc, Barber Szymanowski, Benjamin Britten) is extraordinary!

Many thanks to the Wigmore Hall for the commission, to Elaine Mitchener (contralto) and Ensemble Klang for a phenomenal collaboration and making this dream a reality.
