Mikhail receives Internship and Commission from NATS

It was announced today that The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) has chosen Mikhail as one of 10 composers to participate in the second class of the NATS Mentoring Program for Composers.
This unique mentoring opportunity for emerging art song composers aims to promote and encourage the composition and performance of new works.
During the entire 2021-2022 season, Mikhail will be mentored by and working close with one of his biggest inspirations, the formidable composer and Guggenheim Fellow Nkeiru Okoye.
The internship will conclude with an art song commission by NATS and the Cincinnati Song Initiative (CSI).
